the wikipedia article you cite has nothing to attribute that saying to sanders either, the word "sayings" appears twice, but nothing on Sanders' sayings.
If only he wasn't so egotistical. The left half of the board is attributed to EP Sanders.

I think he's done great service for The Lord. His writings along with some others have severely influenced my church.
