*If the winner ends up being from outside the United States, I might ask for a small shipping fee because this book is mammoth.
I commented on facebook, checked out T & T Clark, and followed them on Twitter. Just booked my plane ticket to Maryland!
ReplyDeleteI signed up to follow your blog. I have been reading regularly for a while. I'd love to have Allison's James commentary. I use the Davies/Allison Matthew ICC volumes often and read Allison's Constructing Jesus last winter.

Visited the T & T Clark blog and website. Glad to see more books available in more affordable ebook and paperback editions.

The SBL panel review is a very attractive option. (I generally enjoy panel reviews, and I have always enjoyed hearing Allison. His paper last year was perhaps the most interesting one I heard.) But I notice that some guy named Chris Keith (last name?) is presenting at the same time in the Historical Jesus section. Decisions, decisions.

I am going to be in Baltimore for SBL, and will show up if I get the book for free!
ReplyDeleteI greatly appreciate your honesty, Bobby.
DeleteYou, however, lose.

ReplyDeleteI have committed to attend the panel review of this commentary in Baltimore.
ReplyDeleteSo... Actually attending the panel is not worth an extra entry to me, but lying about attending apparently is... As you can see from these actions, I am in desperate need of more study on the book of James.
I did 2, 3, 4, and 5.

ReplyDeleteI'll be in Baltimore.
ReplyDeleteAnthony, I read your Historical Jesus book a couple of weeks ago. I don't suppose that would earn me an extra entry for the James commentary. And I have also started reading Jesus, Criteria, and the Demise of Authenticity.
ReplyDeleteI already follow this blog. Does that count?
ReplyDeleteI visited the T & T Clark page.
ReplyDeleteI plan to be in Baltimore, but I won't lie. I'll probably won't attend this session just because I am not fond of sessions dedicated to book reviews. I prefer to hear presentations or papers. ;-)

ReplyDeleteI am considerably interested in Allison's work on James--receiving his commentary for free (or with shipping costs to AUS) would significantly increase the likelihood of my attendance at the book review panel ;)

ReplyDeleteIs it a lie if the person giving away the free book knows I'm lying about going to listen to a review panel in Baltimore? Also if I win because of this post, will everyone who entered be mad at me for it or bummed that they didn't do the same?
