(Zealot). Like you Aslan thinks it is one day trip to Sepphoris and back.<br />Aslan says the same: There was a difference between Sepphoris and Galilee: "Although Sepphoris was a predominantly Jewish city, as evidenced by the synagogues and ritual bathhouses that have been unearthed there, these were a wholly different class of Jews than those found inmuch of Galilee. Rich, cosmopolitan, deeply influenced by Greek culture..."<br />Like you Aslan does not see Jesus as a member of the Zealot Party or as a violent revolutionary: "To be clear, Jesus was not a member of the Zealot Party that launched the war with Rome, because nosuch party could be said to exist for another thirty years after his death. Nor was Jesus a violent revolutionary bent on armed rebellion, though his views on the use of violence were far more complex". He risked some violence under his followers...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8637125351921336084.post-47928332261557416962013-08-20T00:09:54.944-07:002013-08-20T00:09:54.944-07:00You make a very good publicity for this book:) But...You make a very good publicity for this book:) But<br />maybe it's time to engage in something more serious? For example, B. L. Mack and his friends from The Seminar on Christian Origins?<br />It would be an awesome realisation of the first phase of the hegalian dialectic: a path from A - Jesus a Zealot, to non A - Jesus a Cynic:)Tomeknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8637125351921336084.post-90398903232021112272013-08-18T19:55:27.349-07:002013-08-18T19:55:27.349-07:00Don't dis the prayer, training, and vitamins, ...Don't dis the prayer, training, and vitamins, dude.Anthony Le Donnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01282792648606976883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8637125351921336084.post-63488418673794957832013-08-18T06:10:31.869-07:002013-08-18T06:10:31.869-07:00*drops mic**drops mic*Brian LePorthttp://www.nearemmaus.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8637125351921336084.post-61588600288200197472013-08-18T01:31:29.578-07:002013-08-18T01:31:29.578-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.James Snapp Jrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09493891380752272603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8637125351921336084.post-64668394070080973882013-08-17T18:42:54.031-07:002013-08-17T18:42:54.031-07:00I have always seen myself rather as the Ultimate W...I have always seen myself rather as the Ultimate Warrior, but I appreciate the compliment!Chris Keithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12007521996155910288noreply@blogger.com
